Local Wealth Advisor to Build Dreams and Expand Limits for Clients

Wilson NC – Monaghan Wealth Management, a newly-formed financial planning and wealth management firm, is pleased to announce their new office at 2860-E Ward Blvd., Wilson. Their rapidly-growing firm looks forward to working with their clients and welcoming new clients as early as today.

Founded by Scott Monaghan of Wilson, a seasoned wealth advisor who previously led financial teams at Wells Fargo Advisors, formerly Wachovia Securities, in Wilson and elsewhere in the state.

Monaghan Wealth Management has financial relationships with CapitalInvestments, based in Raleigh, NC., and with First Carolina Bank in Rocky Mount, NC., to assist with asset management and financial services.

The new firm provides a dynamic approach to all aspects of financial planning and wealth management including retirement and estate planning, insurance and related products, including life and long-term care and plans for pre-retirement.

“I’ve been a financial professional for a long time. The idea to form Monaghan Wealth Management came from my heartfelt desire to focus more closely on our clients’ needs than was possible when I was limited by management issues,” said Monaghan. “I want to meet with people and spend less time with hierarchy, computers and emails. I’m excited to focus entirely on planning for real-life, and getting to know my clients.”

The team at Monaghan Wealth also includes Kaphie Skinner, Client Marketing Associate, who joins the firm after enjoying a successful career for more than 43 years. Mrs. Skinner started her career with First Union National Bank in 1974. She holds series 6, 63, and NC Insurance licenses. Mrs. Skinner excelled in developing professional relationships with her customers and was promoted to Senior Financial Specialist, obtaining a bank officer title of Vice-President of Wachovia Bank in 2002, later to become Wells Fargo Bank in 2009. In June 2016, she transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors as a licensed Client Associate, continuing her role helping customers succeed financially.

Mr. Monaghan and Mrs. Skinner share the same values, energy, integrity, and passion for inspiring their clients to dream bigger and accomplish more with their financial planning.
