Scouting the Salamanders
The Salamanders have posted a 2-1 record in the second half with an overall record of 13-18. Holly Springs won their last game on Wednesday, July 5thagainst the Fayetteville Swampdogs, 2-1. Josh Hollander has posted a .350 batting average with six doubles and 30 total bases. The Salamanders’ pitching staff have tallied a 5.25 era on the year.

Season vs. Salamanders
The Tobs are 2-3 this year against the Salamanders. The last outing was at Holly Springs on June 24th where the Tobs fell, 5-17. Despite having a 2-3 record against the Salamanders, the Tobs are 1-0 against Holly Springs when it is a Thursday matchup.

All-Star Break
This will be the final home game before the All-Star break. The All-Star break is July 9-11. The CPL All-Star game will be July 10th in Holly Springs at the North Main Athletic Complex. Shane Shepard will represent the Tobs in the All-Star game.

The Wilson Tobs enter their 21st season as an original member within the Coastal Plain League for the 2017 Summer. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate and more exciting entertainment for the Wilson Community.
