Wilson Tobs vs. Morehead City Marlins

After the conclusion of the game, there will be a FIREWORK EXTRAVANGANZA!! Fans can enjoy a post-game firework show that is going to rock your world. There will be beer and drink specials at the stadium as well.

Last Game Recap
The Tobs won their last game at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, Va against the Peninsula Pilots, 3-1. Conner Leonard went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the match against Peninsula. With the win, the Tobs improved to 1-1 in the second half.

Scouting the Marlins
The Marlins fell to the Sharks, 9-16 on Monday. The Marlins are 0-1 in the second half of the season. Chandler Corley leads the team with a .345 batting average with six doubles and 11 RBI. As a pitching staff, Morehead City has posted a 5.59 era on the year.

Past 4 on the 4th
The Tobs are 2-2 in the past four years on July 4th. Last year, the Tobs fell to the Pilots 4-5. A positive note about the 4th, in the odd years over the past four years (2013 & 2015) the Tobs won the game.

The Wilson Tobs enter their 21st season as an original member within the Coastal Plain League for the 2017 Summer. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate and more exciting entertainment for the Wilson Community. We would like to dedicate each successful season to the Wilson Community, Coastal Plain League Organization, Host Families, Sponsors Partners and the Dedicated Fans throughout the city of Wilson. The Wilson Tobs have played host to over 100 alumni taken in the draft and have produced a dozen players who have gone on to play in the MLB, including Cy Young & MVP winner Justin Verlander.
